An extraordinary dining experience is to embark on a journey. We have created a beautiful place in an extraordinary setting and have tended to the details that make you feel at home: staff who care, chefs who are passionate about quality and the regional seasonal ingredients that bring to your palate a taste of place.

Gone Fishing!

River Café is closed until April 2019 for building maintenance and flood mitigation.

Until then, the team is out foraging for inspiration, researching new flavours,
and visiting favourite haunts.

Join our mailing list to find out what we are up to
- we might just pop-up here and there.

Meanwhile, you'll see many familiar faces at Deane House in Inglewood.
Stop by and say hello, or join us for a meal, we would love to see you.

Catch you in April!

Pop-up Dinner @ Central Library

River Café Executive Chef Matthias Fong hosts this exclusive long table
chef collaboration dinner at Calgary’s extraordinary Snohetta-designed Central Library, named one of 52 places to go in 2019 by The New York Times.

Joining Chef Fong are:
Calgary’s Darren MacLean (Shokunin), Duncan Ly (Foreign Concept)
and Galasa Aden (Deane House),
as well as visiting guest chefs from Netflix’s The Final Table,
Charles Michel and Angel Vazquez

The chefs will share their curiosity and exploration of plant-forward dining. Share in the conversation about sustainability at the table. Not only will this be an extraordinary dining experience, but proceeds will also benefit Mealshare, which works to end youth hunger.
